SEEDA aims to increase the start-up survival and growth rate of young companies using global best practice. They are establishing some 22 Enterprise Hubs throughout the South East region with one in Hastings focusing on helping entrepreneurs and companies in high technology sectors with high growth potential.

This grant is known as Tier 3 (formerly called Enterprise Grant) and is available throughout East Sussex, including Hastings to promote economic regeneration by helping small companies improve local skills and employment. This grant offers £1000 per full time job created in the first six months of operation and occupied by somebody already resident in the Hastings Travel to Work area. The grants are funded by Hastings Borough Council, but applications are available from 1066 Enterprise. The maximum grant is £15,000 per company/business.
